Yelena grew in Moscow, Russia where she grew innate strength regarding grappling. Her family shifted to California, United States when she was child. Yelena did not start wrestling until she reached her freshman year of high school.

She had been trained while competing against boys as an accident which led to a continuous career as a wrestler. Yelena was dedicated towards music during the childhood days. She was a violin and piano player.

Education and the Beginning of Sports Career

Yelena attended Bella Vista High School as a multi-sport athlete. She is committed to psychology of sport during high school. Yelena was majoring in Psychology while named as 4 times NWCA Scholar All-American regarding her academic-athletic balancing ability.

She had done Master of Science in Sport Leadership during 2023-2025 session. Yelena used the final year to become an Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach for her team Cardinal Wrestling Club.

As per the records, she decided to join wrestling to try out something new however she had not liked it initially. Later on she stayed motivated by watching those around her succeed.

Professional Career

Yelena became a constant gold medalist in the global ranking series and is named as the top wrestler in US ranking system regarding women wrestlers. She won against China’s Cheng Shuiyan in a short span of 2 minutes 38 seconds during the 2024 Under 23 World Championship.

She became World Team Trial Runner-up by just falling to rival Dymond Guilford. She is currently representing Titan Mercury Wrestling Club in U.S.A. on global level. She had finished her college career with a 106-7 record.

She serve as an Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach to train new wrestlers.
