Hank Aaron was born on February 5. 1934, Hank’s father Herbert Aaron Sr. was a shipyard worker and part time farmer and his mother Estella Aaron was a domestic worker and a homemaker.
Hank had seven siblings and his brother Tommie Aaron was also a Major League player. Together, they were credited with 768 career home runs as the one of the most made by a pair of siblings.

Due to financial issues Hank was not able to go to college instead he started playing for the Prichard Athletics and Mobile Black Bears in the Negro Leagues and semi-professional leagues.
