Her father was a successful real estate developer and her mother was also a former model. She begin her swimming practise when she was approximately seven years old. Firstly she started his training at the Beverly Hills YMCA.

Her natural talent, determination and her willingness in swimming helped her in setting various records in her age group. She started studying in Westlake School for Girls which later merged with Harvard school and was renamed as Harvard-Westlake school where she continued to dominate in swimming.

During her studies in High school, she was trained with Los Angeles Swim Club by Terry Palma.

Education and the Beginning of Sports Career

Dara Torre was born in Beverly Hills, California. She started studying in Westlake School for Girls which later merged with Harvard school and was renamed as Harvard-Westlake school which was known for strong academics and Athletics coaching.

She was not so excellent towards her studies but she was really appreciable for her outstanding performance in Swimming. Her family decided to make her Daughter stand in sports Career and that was a better option for her family.

She started her sports career at the age of seven years. Her mother encouraged her to join the local YMCA swimming team. Here early coach noticed her talent quickly.

When she was in Los Angeles Swim Club, she practised with more experienced swimmers. Her hard work helped him to qualify for the 1984 U.S. Olympic Team at just 17 years old. This began her International Professional Career.
