Floyd Mayweather Jr. was born on 24th of February in 1977, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, his father Floyd Mayweather Sr., who was an ex-boxer, he personally trained his son since he was young.
His mother Deborah Sinclair was a drug addict due to which Floyd had a troubled childhood but he used to say that his mother is a very loving and kind person.
His uncles Roger Mayweather and Jeff Mayweather were also professional boxers and were world champions. Floyd’s father had to go to jail because of illegal drug trafficking when he was just sixteen and his father was the one to introduce him to boxing.

Floyd attended Ottawa Hills High School, Grand Rapids, Michigan but he decided to drop out of school in order to pursue boxing professionally.
